Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani emphasizes Pakistan’s aspiration for friendly relations with a global spectrum of nations, encompassing China, the United States, European Union, Turkiye, and Arab countries, while highlighting the significance of robust economic partnerships. He takes pride in Pakistan’s role as a signatory of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) since 2013, underscoring CPEC’s central role in the country’s economic advancement. Jilani anticipates a crucial upcoming phase of CPEC, aiming to expedite projects across various sectors, leveraging Chinese expertise, and intending to bolster economic ties with major partners like the United States, China, and the European Union.

Caretaker Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jalil Abbas Jilani, emphasized Pakistan’s desire to cultivate strong relationships with countries worldwide, including China, the United States, the European Union, Turkiye, and Arab nations.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan, Jilani expressed Pakistan’s goal of bolstering economic ties with these countries. When asked about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he proudly mentioned being a signatory to this important initiative in 2013 during the Chinese Prime Minister’s visit.

Jilani described the CPEC as a significant program for Pakistan’s economic development, highlighting the completion of various projects over the past decade. Looking ahead, he emphasized the importance of expediting work on projects in sectors such as IT, agriculture, railways, and others, with a focus on leveraging Chinese expertise.

The caretaker Foreign Minister stressed the need to enhance economic policy and foster closer ties with all countries, both regionally and globally. He also expressed dedication to strengthening economic partnerships with the United States, China, and the European Union, which are key trading partners for Pakistan.
